The Neuroscience of Beliefs

Practical Applications in Coaching

Is your coaching practice elite and breaking new ground?

  • Do you want to extend your skills and expand your practice?
  • Do you want work confidently with executives and entrepreneurs?
  • Are you looking to enroll more clients?
  • Do you want practical coaching models that will get you better results?

What if you could update your practice with leading-edge, scientifically sound coaching methods that fast track your clients’ successes?

Neuroscience studies the biology of the mind – the brain.
The brain is behind everything we do, every thought and feeling we have, and every decision we make.

Then you need to be knowledgeable about what is behind every word your client says and every action your client makes.

Coaches who don’t, risk losing their credibility in the market.
Neuroscience is advancing quickly and it’s disrupting many standard psychological models.
Coaching is based on psychological models.

Without understanding neuroscience, a coach risks applying outdated models.

Neuroscience has added a huge amount to our understanding of the brain and how it works. It provides your practice with:
  • New perspectives
  • New tools
  • And new ideas

But not any old neuroscience. You and I know that as a coach you need neuroscience with two critical qualities:

  • It must be grounded in the latest research (No more talk of ‘happy hormones’ or ‘left brained’ or ‘right brained’ people.)
  • It must be of practical use (Knowing the Latin names for the parts of the brain does not help a client.)

You will be able to guide your clients more effectively in making better decisions, which will get them better results.

You can’t afford not to learn all you can about this fascinating area.

Now there is a program that is precisely what you need…

Coaching the Brain

The Neuroscience of Beliefs

Practical Applications of Neuroscience to Coaching

This course is based on the book ‘Coaching the Brain’ by best selling authors Joseph O’Connor and Andrea Lages, published by Routledge in 2019.

They have gone through all the research and done all the spade work (so you do not have to), to give you exactly the material you need – no more, no less.

And it is immediately PRACTICAL.

Joseph O'Connor
“Joseph and Andrea pursue brain-based leadership coaching with flair and precision. I highly recommend their book.”

The Neuroscience of Beliefs

Coaching is based on clarifying goals, uncovering values and dealing with limiting beliefs

  • Change stubborn limiting thought patterns
  • Guide your clients more effectively in making better decisions, which will get them better results.
  • Help your clients past the tricks and traps that stop them thinking clearly
  • Help them see through their expectations to the reality of the situation
  • Design the best action steps so the client gets excellent feedback on their ideas
  • Help the client evaluate their mental models
  • Move from a ‘problem solver’ to a ‘problem dissolver’
You will build your reputation as a coach who is at the cutting edge of coaching, no longer dealing in models that are not backed by research.

Already taken by participants from 15 countries

Don't be a problem solver...

The problem is not the problem

The problem is how we are thinking about the problem!

A transformational coach changes a client’s thinking and the problem dissolves

If you have ever been frustrated trying to change stubborn, limiting thinking patterns, then you need this course!

Transformational coaching changes the clients thinking and the problem dissolves.

How do we change your client’s thinking?

We need to know their mental models – the ideas they have about how the world works. The ideas they act on.

We need to know how the brain makes them and updates them.

Here are just some of the things you will learn in this new and fascinating course:

  • The ‘Interpreter’ (that system of the brain that explains and justifies what we do)
  • The part of the brain that explains and justifies what we do
  • Choice blindness
  • How we often do not know the reasons why we choose and decide
  • How we update beliefs (and why sometimes we don’t)
  • The tricks, traps and assumptions that give us bad information
  • Optical illusions, auditory illusions and language illusions
  • Source and truth amnesia
  • The neuroscience of ‘shoulds’
  • How to evaluate and change mental models

You do not have to be a professional coach. The knowledge and skills that the course covers will be useful in any field where you are helping and guiding people – all types of coaching, management, and training. You should be familiar with basic coaching skills. When you apply, tell us about your coaching experience and training and we will let you know you if this course is right for you.

A basic knowledge of the brain is fine. You do not need specialized scientific knowledge or the Latin names of brain structures. The course will cover all you need to know about how the brain works and the principal neurotransmitters.

Your clients think, feel react, speak and understand through their brain. To fully understand their ideas, feelings and decisions, we need to know how they are made at a deep level. How can neuroscience not be helpful with your clients?

Neuroscience has much to offer, you’ll be surprised. Though, you’re right. It doesn’t live up to the deceptive and inflated claims made by some people. The problem is in the claims, not in the science.

Absolutely. Yet they hang together and depend on each other like candle and flame. We pay attention to the flame, we are fascinated by the beautiful, luminous glow, but that flame cannot exist without the wax to support it. If you wanted to make the flame, bigger, brighter, stronger, you would have to study the wax too.
You will receive the Lambent Neuroscience Coaching Certificate. The course is accredited by Lambent UK, a company with two European Quality Awards for its training, and the creator of the International Coaching Certification. The course is also accredited by the Neuroscience Coaching Centre. When you do the full course of coaching the brain (the three modules – values, goals and beliefs) you earn an International Coaching community Certificate in Neuroscience coaching.

The training takes approximately three months. If you complete the work, you can be certified in less than four months. You can take longer if you wish. You are free to set the pace yourself. There is no pressure to finish the courses or in a set time.

Be a more skillful, knowledgeable coach! And…you will be at the leading edge of coaching. You can expand your reach of clients. If an executive has a choice of a coach and a coach who knows neuroscience, everything being equal, which one will they choose? The one with the extra skill and knowledge in the latest developments wins the client.

Yes! Not only can you do that, but you will do it while you do the course!
